Balanced sifts a longer stream so every gesture appears — a uniform draw is lumpy, and three fields with no memory is a common sheet. Patina previews the wear a work takes on from being handled; it is a viewing control here and is not stored. Thumbnails render on a smaller logical grid than a full piece, so composition, palette and dither character are faithful but the pixel count is not.
